Our Story

Raised in the inner city of Covington, KY, our founder, CEO and lead consultant, K.A. Simpson has long been a lover of downtown Cincinnati. Moving back to the Greater Cincinnati area in 2001, after a four year career as a Korean Linguist in the US Army, K.A. affixed his sights on completing his degree in Economics from the University of Cincinnati to accompany his degree in Korean Studies.

K.A. began a BookMark Online in 2010, to fill an area and to bring professional writing and marketing services to individuals, small start-up businesses and non-profit organizations.

In addition to being a business owner; K.A. has also been published in several print journals to include the following; The Covingtonian, The Anchor (Northern Kentucky University’s Black Faculty/Staff annual publication) and Northern Kentucky Encyclopedia.

In 2013, K.A. took on chapter two of his serial entrepreneurship when he opened the publishing company BookMark Publishing where he published his first fiction book, 'Chronicles of a Boy Misunderstood'.
