OVERVIEW

Pub_Inc is a resource center both for new and professional authors. Our mission is to challenge authors to envision a future of entrepreneurship while providing them with the tools to make their publishing dream a reality.

 

Targeting low income individuals with the goal of providing a secondary source of income to help them become self sufficient from public assistance, Pub_Inc is designed to support both emerging and active authors.

 

This incubator program assists emerging authors in building a solid foundation for publishing their work and creating a financially sound plan for managing their new source of income.  Pub_Inc will also assist active writers in growing their published work portfolio or getting a struggling author back on track.

 

Participants in the incubator program will:

 

• Set clear business goals

• Participate in business coaching to help achieve set goals

• Network with other authors

• Be referred to outside resources when necessary

• Receive help from business partners in their industry

Throughout the year incubator participants will be invited to attend monthly classes, entrepreneurial events, participate in online learning activities and to network with other incubator students.

 

At year’s end students can meet again with the program director to review the year and set goals for the upcoming year.
